Conflict Kitchen, a rotating take-out restaurant located in Pittsburgh, is using gourmet food to make a global political statement. They only sell food from countries the U.S. is in conflict with (i.e. kubideh, a signature Afghan dish). The venture is a project of Carnegie Mellon University graduates and food comes served in paper covered with quotes from interviews with nationals on various political topics, ranging from economic embargo to the nuclear missile crisis. Featured cuisines have included Iranian, Afghan, Cuban and Venezuelan food. [psfk]
